I have had the good fortune to travel to many places.
I always take my paints and my camera to be ready for anything.

Quiet moments near my home which I try to catch in small, quick pictures.

Living in a place with snow 5 months of the year, I have more than ample time to find good subjects, everywhere I look something is calling out "Look at me".

I am fascinated by machines, they are so intricate and interesting if one actually gets in for a close look. I am not an abstract painter but with these I am looking for the abstract patterns. I change and soften the colors to show the 'feminine side'. I want to create pictures that both men and women would like to hang in their homes or offices almost as abstracts, but what a surprise to look closely and see the machinery and realize how interesting it is.

I just had a wonderful trip to the Middle East. I saw many of the temples and ruins in Egypt and the fabled city of Petra, a World Heritage Site, in Jordan. I didn't have time for painting on the trip but I did do a series of small half hour sketches. I am now starting some preliminary small watercolors while the colors are fresh in my mind. These are not for sale but I like them and am just including them to share with you. I hope to do a major series in the future.
